End of MOT Exemptions

Many of you will be aware that the MOT exemptions introduced by the government in the months March through to July will be coming to an end in September. The autumnal season is always the busiest for garages, so with this additional rush of cars requiring an MOT, we expect to be busier than ever. It is for this reason that we suggest that if you were given a 6 month extension MOT or your vehicle is due to its MOT during this period, to book as soon as possible. This would not only allow you to beat the rush and ensure that your car has its MOT before it runs out, but it also means that any potential problems with your vehicle are picked up on sooner. Not only are MOT’s a legal requirement but are also a vital service for your vehicle, as they highlight potential issues that could be hazardous to you and other road users. Getting your MOT done as soon as possible means you know your vehicle is safe and roadworthy.

Whilst booking your test earlier would help out garages who may be under strain from the increase in bookings, our main priority is to help you. There is an increased likelihood of your vehicle failing an MOT test the longer it has been since last tested. We want to ensure that all of our customers are able to book in their MOT with us and avoid the risk of being turned away due to high demand.

If your MOT is due in September, you can get it done in August (up to a month minus a day before it’s due) and keep your renewal date the following year. Our professional and friendly team here at Bromley Car Repairs are happy to help you in any way possible. Our mechanics are fully trained to carry out MOT’s, allowing you to be rest assured that your vehicle is in safe hands. We believe in honest trading, and will therefore never charge for more than the work carried out. Avoid the rush and ensure your vehicle is road safe by booking your MOT in with us today by calling 020 8466 7849 or texting 07517515414 or emailing us at info@bromleycarrepairs.co.uk.
